Marquee Letters

Everyone dreams of their name in big bright lights. With this DIY, we show you how to make it possible without recording a platinum album or starring in a broadway show.

We were inspired to create marquee letters from the post on ohhellofriendblog.com

What you will need:

Starting with the cardboard letters, front-side up,

using the boxcutter, cut the top of the letter off, CAREFULLY!

Remove the stuffing from inside the letter and sandpaper the cut edges.

Figure out the placement of the lights and mark where each will go. Drill the holes. Sandpaper the holes.

Spray paint.

Screw the bulbs into the wiring. You’ll have to use trial-and-error to determine wire placement.

Use the twist-ties to keep the cords together and well hidden.

Plug in and enjoy!
