Christmas Banners

In celebration of Halloween we thought it was only appropriate that we do a Christmas Banner DIY.

What we used:

  • Silhouette CAMEO cutting machine
  • Card stock paper
  • Stencil brush
  • Black acrylic paint
  • 3″ wide burlap ribbon
  • Yarn pom pom balls
  • Twine
  • Bells
  • Butcher’s twine
  • Anti-fray glue

With the Silhouette CAMEO, cut 3″ tall letters

Cut the burlap ribbon into 8″ strips

Using the Silhouette cut outs, stencil the letters onto the burlap ribbon

Fold down a flap of the top of the ribbon, place the twine inside

Sew the flap down, careful not to sew on the twine

Make two cuts off the bottom of the ribbon

Apply anti-fray glue to the cut edges

Iron the ribbon flat

Attach the bells and the pom poms to strands of butcher’s twine

Create space between the flags and tie the pom poms and bells to the twine.

Tie loops at the end of the twine and hang.
